About Ritch
I was born in Conneticut to do only one thing, to rock. That and eat unhealty amounts of cheese, but eating habits aside...My guitar playing is primarily blues based, which means that I am very much a fan of improvisation. Some people frown on jamming, but with Biff Steel we're trying to put some more energy behind it to make it interesting. I'm also a member of the Oneonta, NY group, Sexcabob. Sexcabob is a more structured rock group with very little emphasis on jamming. I think that I will bring to Biff Steel what I've learned from Sexcabob, and with any luck Biff Steel will be a better band for it.

Influences
Too many to list, but I shall try....AC/DC, Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers Band, The Beatles, The Black Crowes, Cream/Clapton, Gov't Mule, The Grateful Dead, Guns N' Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, U2, Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Who, Neil Young....THE LIST GOES ON!!!!

Gear
I play a reissue of a '68 Fender Stratocaster (white) and a brand new cherry Gibson SG Standard. Amps wise, a Peavey Bandit 112, with a Cry Baby Wah-Wah pedal. I've gotten away from using further pedals because dry distortion feeds back less and has a much more powerful sound.
